I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona with two sisters (I'm the middle child). My parents, originally from Mexico, came to the U.S. in 1986 and built a home here.
Growing up my favorite part of the newspaper was the comics, however, I still understood hard news were a major thing. I have faint memories of me pretending to be a news anchor and forcing my sister to be my audience.
I chose to go into the Journalism industry because I understand how crucial it is for the public to stay informed and I want to use my voice. I'm striving to be a bilingual multimedia storyteller for the Latinx community.
As of now, I'm studying at Arizona State University and I hope to graduate in 2023 with a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication.
